Update never ends

Ok guys I repartitioned my hd to install linux, in the process losing all my data. Now I have to update from .2.1 to .2.6. The problem is that ive been d/l the update combo, and the bar tells me im complete but it continues to d/l. I know I have dial up but its never taken this long for just 84MB im going on my third day including the fact that i leave it d/l while I sleep. So any thoughts?

On dial-up an 84MB file should download in between 6 and 12 hours, not three days.

Check the file size of the .dmg you are downloading to your desktop. Is it 84MB?

Option-click and drag the file on your desktop to another place on your desktop to make a copy of the .dmg file. See if it will expand and install properly.

I've never heard of a file still downloading after it is complete. Did you try using another browser?
