Is there any way to use cache to watch videos and stuff. In windows you can find the cache of videos and stuff you watch online and then save them to disk to watch offline. The safari cache seems to be unusable. It saves them in like 15 folders and I don't understand the system. I tried with IE but that didn'[t work either.

If you use older browsers and players (if possible. Early versions of the ones for OS9 work for me.) the caches tend to be usable. Newer browsers create these giant meta files which are hard or near impossible for the average person to use or hack. QT pro allows you to save movies, and certain other premium media players allow the same. A number of media editing programs offer this, but quite often there is a price for the add on. Even then, like Flash and PDF files, you can't edit them with out keys. At least this is my understanding.

i have a 17" PB - and i was wondering - with cache , does it work like a temp storage? cuz if it does, should we empty it occasionally or does the computer do that automatically?

The preferences for your browser have settings to determine the max size and life of the cache, it will never exceed that. You can usually also use the preferences dialogue in the app to tell it to empty the cache.
