What use are the USB slots on my Dell

Just wondering what use they are. I use them to charge my iPod occasionally. Do they take video feed through USB? Any wonderful uses I'm not seeing?
 
Anything USB Will Work

You can use them to attach hard drives, a DVD±RW Optical Recorder-Player, A WebCam and any other number of many USB peripherals. Your keyboard and mouse.
 
a USB port is used to connect many peripheral devices to your computer, such as printers, certain wireless mice and keyboards, iPods, external hard drives, phones, and more.

What are you talking about? The USB connectors on your Dell monitor maybe? Many Dell monitors have a built-in USB hub. To use it, you have to find the uplink connector, and connect that to your computer with a normal USB cable. Then you can plug in your keyboard, mouse, USB flash drive, etc. into the monitor if that's more convenient.

I want to try this with my 22" Gateway monitor w/ 4 usb 2.0 ports... How do you get the ants out of there?😱 😛
