Hey everyone. I'm slowly getting around to selling off my G4, and first bit on the chopping block is this fantabulous Sonnet Tempo! It's got support for 4 IDE drives, and I had actually used it to set up 4x320GB drives in the G4 in a RAID before I replaced the G4. This is really the only way to get support for drives larger than 127GB in a G4 (works with G3's and older Macs too) as well!

Comes with original box, diskette, and 1 IDE cable. I'm asking $59.99 shipped from MR members (in the US), and I'll be putting it on eBay on Sunday if no one here bites.

Thanks!

I have the ACARD version of this card (from what I read they're the same chipset/layout and possibly manufacturer) and it's great. Haven't had a problem with it in over a year's worth of use, large drive and boot support are totally seamless.

Yea, I had a Tempo ATA/100 card for years in my B&W & ST (before I switched to SATA)........worked great, just plug & play, really speeded things up when paired with a 7200rpm/8mb cache drive ! And yes, it was an Acard device, just rebranded by Sonnet :)
