There's going to be an Apple Store opening up near me soon and I'd like to apply there but I'm only 16. I've heard they accept 16 year olds but from most people I hear that the min is 18.

Also, would it be harder to apply for a Mac specialist part compared to like a cashier?

I know you are right in the fact that they will hire some 16 year olds, but mainly only 18 or older. Also, not sure about the cashier/specialist thing but I do know that you aren't going to be a Genius at 16. :)

Oh and they like people with excellent communication skills rather than someone who knows all about their products, because they teach you anyway. (from what i've gathered based on old Apple Store threads)

Good luck though, and if you do get a job say goodbye to MacRumors!

Agreed- and I'd say that goes for any job, really- especially in a sales environment. If you are great at communication, you can sell anything and people will just plain want you around.
