I haven't played Online Games in a long while not since DOOm and Quake due to the cheats that go in a lot of these games and the cost it can entail to buy items for your character (Like Everquest) on EBay. What is a fun and entertaining game (RPG or Coop) that is out there for the MAC (My MBP) that keeps the cheats out and the fun in along with allowing a character to grow and evolve? Thanks!

Bill.....

I Did do a search and did not find much. So sorry if this been asked a million times before....

One question I forgot to ask is what cost other than the purchase of the game is associated with these. I know there has to be a monthly for these of some type. Thanks!!

Try Wolfenstein:Enemy Territories. It's a free, multiplayer only game that you can get from sites such as macupdate.c0m

I played it a few years ago on a G5 and it looked and played great.

I second that - Wolfenstein: ET - it's fun and free!

Most servers have PunkBuster enabled, meaning no cheats :)

Savage: Battle for Newerth
(http://www.s2games.com/savage/index.php?page=savageindex)
free and you can download the demo (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/role_strategy/savagethebattlefornewerth.html) version for the mac or download the full version and run it on bootcamp. The demo version can run on macs while the free full version is pc/linux only.

World of Warcraft just keeps getting better - I'm going to throw my weight behind that one :D Monthly subs I know, but I feel that I get what I pay for.

Neverwinter Nights is a very fun game if you can find the right online server.

I've never actually known anyone that bought stuff for real money for an MMO... that I know of, at least.;) It's certainly not required.

World of Warcraft is head and shoulders above the rest, imo. If you're the kind of person who will obsessively play a game until it's completed, stay away... fair warning.
