I know lots of you are whizzes with all this stuff, but as I'm pretty new to it, I'm going to ask a really silly question. How do you back up all your movies and tv shows to an external hard drive? I've found the option to back up to dvd, but that's not what I want to do as I have about 40gb of video. I'm using a laptop with windows xp installed and a freecom 250gb external hard drive.

Copy all your stuff onto the external disk manually, not so hard.

Just copy the entire itunes folder to the drive, until Leopard comes out with Time Machine.

He's on a mac, no time machine for you... Just wait until the next release of windows in say about six years time.

Thanks, I've copied the itunes folder to the hard drive. I just thought there might be an option to back up to hard drive like there is back up to cd/dvd to make it abit easier.:)

are you sure all your media is in your itunes folder? if not, you may need to back up additional folders.
