I'll be visiting family during WWDC, probably won't have time to check up on the latest Apple news, but I'll try..

Then spend the rest of the day on MR. ;)

I get out of school just 4 days before WWDC, so I'll be keeping track of everything while it's happening. For some odd reason, I had been sure that there would be a live Apple webcast of the event, but most people seem pretty confident that there won't be one :(.

i'll be working, but this is why i have more than one computer:) i'm moving my tibook setup to the imediate right of my quicksilver's keyboard/monitor. straight ahead=cutting video; quick swivel to the right=macrumors irc. sounds like a good day to me.
PS- no webcast? that blows.

Isn't there going to be something at the Apple Stores?
I would think that might be one of the choices.

I've got a programming exam :(
Actually due to timezones I think the keynote is actually in the morning before the exam, so I should have time to head on over to apple.com (for the truth) and MR (for the criticisms :))
But all in all, WWDC and hopefully new machines will be a great start to the holidays! (programming's my last exam)

Well, I live about 10 min. from the Moscone Center where good 'ol Stevo is gonna be giving his keynote, but sadly can't afford the $1500 price tag of going .
Is there gonna be a webcast? I thought there would be, given that its gonna (hopefully) be such a ground breaking event.
It's like waiting for christmas......:D

if there's a webcast then I'll be staying up till 1am here to watch it. If there's not, then I guess I'll try to wait until the next morning so that everything will be up on Macrumors...
Maybe Macbudelleleel will be correct, and my bank account will be quickly depleated.

Under normal circumstances I'd try and catch the keynote webcast. Last year's MacWorld NY I had to watch in QT 6 (very good quality) on my brother-in-law's PC but with no sound as after a software re-install of his home built PC, XP didn't plug and play his SoundBlaster card.... had to monitor the text commentary blogs vs. the video.
MacWorld SF, Jan - got the time difference wrong and missed most of it.
This time... got a work team outing to go boozing. They already think that I'm too much of a Mac head, missing out on booze would have led to much mocking. To be honest I'm not so much of a Mac head that I'd rather be watching a webcast of a middle aged flabby man in a roll neck rather than having a night out with friends. So I'll be catching up with it whilst nursing a hang over the next day.

Hopefully picking up a G5 at my local Apple store, or at least ordering one.

If I'm not working, checking here for info. If I am, have to check when I get home. Was working nights, not sure what I'll be doing by then (if anything).
Ah... the life of a temp.

I'll be at work, one window open to see what's happening. Although I imagine the servers will be working overtime.

Might go to the Apple store at Willow Bend (Plano, TX) or maybe the Apple offices at the Infomart in Dallas. (That's were I've seen a couple of satelite feeds - nice comfortable theater chairs!

I voted other, because I'm hoping they will have a live feed at my local Apple store of Steve's Keynote! Will also look forward to playing on one of the new G5's! If not, I will be checking on this forum!

This is the advantage of living in Europe. I can go to work normally and when back home again, it's exactly the time to visit all the specific rumor sites etc.
Nevertheless, I already told my boss, that I can't work longer than normal this day...

They had a webcast when they previewed Jaguar at WWDC, so why wouldn't they have one now?

My wife just got an email from Japan giving details about viewing the keynote on the 23rd live. They will have an event in some hall in Yuurakucho. Doors open at 1:00AM (Monday night/Tuesday morning). The live keynote will be 2:00AM to 4:00AM. They are not charging for the keynote but you have to preregister.
This is pretty funny. Doors open just about the time the trains stop running and the bars close.
They say Steve will be talking about Panther and the future of Apple.
Locally, Apple is opening a store in Burlingame, CA. We've been watching the construction for a few months. A week ago one of the workers said they should finish up in a few more weeks. That just about coincides with 6/23. If it is open I'll go watch it there. Probably a better feed than the internet plus maybe we'll get to see real hardware just after the keynote!

The 23rd is my first day at a new job, so I don't imagine I'll have much time for hitting "reload" on five websites every two minutes anymore. And when I get back to the long-stay suite I'll be in, I'll have to go down to the "business center" to check anything on the 'net. If I'm even up for it. Oh well, such is life. Besides, job = being able to pay for a 2nd-gen PPC970-based PowerMac. :D

Hopefully there will be a streaming.

I hope so too, as I will never want to depend on MSNBC and Windows Media again as it was the only streaming media covering the new iPod and the iTMS introduction live a while ago... Come to think of it, it will be quite ironic if they cover the WWDC in the same way:)

If the Mall of America Apple store is showing it, then I guess I can take a few hours of work off to see it, otherwise it's this site for the recap/discussion.

I will be glued to MR's IRC channel, and looking for a live stream. (Oh did I mention that I will be on the phone with my Mac buddies? These things are best when shared. :))

I had a problem also during MWSF '03. The streaming video was delayed by ~30 minutes, not sure what happened. Also had trouble getting onto the forum!
