Or, since I don't have a car, I could put one on the train I ride to get to work. Since I'd probably get a different train the next day, I can put another sticker on that one, and so on. If I have enough stickers, I could continue until all the trains are Apple-branded or I am arrested, whichever comes first. :)

I do have a 6 color sticker. It's actually a static cling unit and this is the 3rd one for this car (after all the melting of the years).

I have a 1997 Toyota Camry I ordered from the factory with the rear spoiler, as a result it does not have the interior rear stop light (if you add the spoiler you keep the rear stop light). As a result the sticker is mounted dead center at the bottom of the rear window.

Try No.7 Tar & Bug Remover. You can find it at any gas station/garage. It takes a bit (okay, a LOT) of scrubbing and patience, but it helps get the job done.

I used to have an Apple sticker when I was a kid on my Geo Metro, but after I got my Miata, I no longer have a sticker. With the convertible, the "color form" 6-color Apple sticker kept getting cemented by the sun onto the plastic rear window of the Miata, so I had to take it off.

However, I've ordered a MINI Cooper S, and when it FINALLY arrives (my anticipated delivery date is July 25th), you can bet that the one & only decale that will be adorning my new MINI S will be the white Apple sticker....

You betcha! One right in front of the rear-view mirror on the front windshield of the car I drive, and two in the side rear windows in our station wagon. I've still got a small stack that I ordered several years ago when Apple was giving out free promotional propag - err, material - you know, the MacAdvocate stuff. I used to work at a sign shop as their designer and manager, so I had a little fun with stickers. Like eyelikeart, I have a nice frosted vinyl (it looks like etched glass) apple logo in the rear passenger window. I even though about doing an Apple Limited Edition vehicle sticker with the frosted vinyl.

Being Apple, and having a cultish following, why DON'T people put Apple stickers on their cars? If Apple gave out the static cling stickers instead of the glue-based ones that go on the outside, would more people display the logo?

I agree that the old apple stickers are cool. But I think that the white apple was a great idea. Apple did alot to market themselves as a newer, hipper, far more technologically advanced entity. Although, they've almost completely changed their image, and focused their target market on generation x and y, they still managed not to forget the soul of their success, their loyal old school fans!

Same basic traditional apple design but with a fresh twist...

If I were a cop and got a call to investigate a break-in at a house or business, and found Apple computers among the many items the perpetrators stole, the first thing I'd ask is, "You wouldn't happen to have an Apple sticker on your car would you?"

Frankly, there's a bigger risk from throwing out the box when you get a new computer -- I was walking by someone's garbage just today and they had some Dell boxes out, so I knew they'd just made an upgrade.


But if I were doing anything with an apple sticker it'd probably be a Windows PC, though I think that's what the stickers you used to get with the boxed Red Hat Linux were for.

It indicates that their might be a 2k computer in the car. And that since your an apple fan, there will prob be an ipod in there too. Also, since you can afford an apple product, chances are there is something valuable in there. Its just like big stickers that say MTX, JBL, KICKER, saying that you have $500 speakers $1000 amp and $400 to 1000 head unit in your car. Im not sure why this doesnt make any sense. Thieves love to prey on the clueless. Like the ones that dont understand why an expensive brand would attract thieves.
