Just recieved the July issue of T3 where they have reviewed the new iPod from Apple.
They gave it 5 STARS :D
The T3 Final verdict:
While more competition is coming in late summer from the likes of Philips and Ministry of Sound, it's unlikely to come close to this. Apple has raised the bar yet again, and it might even be eBay time for older iPods.
edit:
And yet more good reviews for Apple, just skipped a couple of pages on and found a review of the 17" PowerBook, yet another 5 STAR product! :D
The T3 Final verdict:
Apple's ceated a monster: a laptop that doesn't pretend to be an all-rounder, but is simply the best mobile workstation a power user could imagine.

I don't care... the current 1GHz 15.2" has shown itself to be just as fast as the 17" only cheaper!
17" is only for those who are trying to compensate for something... (notice lack of sales after initial inception rush).

except for the fact that the airport reception doesn't suck. and its made of a metal that isnt painted. and it doesnt have that hinge in the back. but other than that, yeah its the same just bigger.

I hope and pray that Apple uses an ATI card in the next revision of the PowerBooks. NVIDIA's products (or Apple's selection and implementation of them) do not suffice IMHO.

T3 magazine used to be one of the biggest supporters of Apple products in the UK outside the Mac mags but since the "new look" and new editor that has dropped off a bit in favour of vaios etc. Good to see they are back on form with this latest batch of reviews although I was puzzled why the 12" PB only got 4 Stars even though they gave it 5 stars in one catergory and 4 in another then stated there is nothing really wrong with it. Well at least there is an article on how Microsoft plans to take over your watch as well as your living room and your life.

It's okay, it's not that suprising that Apple products get a 5 out of 5 anyways.

I think Apple will most likely use the slower Geforce 4 4200Go becasue they seem to prefer Nvidia at the moment. Although the Radeon 9600M is meant to cost about the same as the 9000M used to when Apple but it in the 15in TIBook.
Also what is it with Apple and paint. My first PB,the G3 wallstreet had paint that came off easily and now my PB G4 paint comes off just when I rub the thing if it is hot. I hope Apple stops using paint on its portables unless it finds a paint that is very long lasting and wear resistant.

I believe the new Al-books aren't painted, but are anodized aluminium...

I like. Every review i've read of any Apple product recently has been positive. The iPods consistently gain better ratings than the competition in comparisons. The iBooks and ...and yeah all score good. I have never seen a review for a powermac in a non-mac magazine though:rolleyes:

Did I read that right? Is the Ministry of Sound actually selling MP3 players? I hope it comes with a disco ball and a live DJ to mix your music for you... :D

and the keys light up, and the screen automatically dims, and it has DDR RAM, and built in BlueTooth, and FireWire 800, and Airport Extreme...but other than that, it's exactly the same. ;) :p
