Fireiwre Sata?

I want to buy an external enclosure to use my existing HD for backup and such so I don't have to buy a new one. But the only SATA enclosures I see are USB 2.0. Home come nobody makes any Firewire enclosures. All the Firewire or Firewire and USB combo ones are IDE. No body makes any Firewire for SATA.
