I have a macbook with 1.25 gigs of ram. It's been an extremely reliable machine and has been only moderately used (college programming student).
However, the integrated graphics card along with the screen size will not do me well next year when I need to use more graphics intensive programs. I have also decided that video editing is pretty fun and while adding RAM has immensely helped the editing and the general responsiveness of the machine, I still feel an upgrade would be beneficial.
How much, starting in about mid june, could I expect to get for my macbook? It's the standard Core Duo, not C2D. :)
The RAM config will probably remain the same also.
I am hoping that in June I would be able to get about 800 out of it. Is that too much? I would prefer to deal with someone on MR.
Ultimately, I hope to find a MR member that no longer wants the power of a macbook pro and feels a macbook would more suit their needs. I would gladly pay 400 dollars + my MB for a macbook pro.
Is this entirely unreasonable? Does someone have an offer now? ;) I don't have ALL that money right now, but if someone has an interest now and would be willign to wait a couple months, then maybe we could work something out. (I don't like to use credit :D )
Thanks for your interest and your responses. I posted this here as I may do a deal and that people who surf here are likely to know better what I could get.
Again, thanks.
I am also considering a trade for a iMac, one w/o the 950 chipset. :D Thanks!
