The Official "I applied for a student scholarship for WWDC" thread

I wanted to apply, but due to a couple unexpected things will be unable to attend and therefore didn't apply 🙁. Oh well. By WWDC next year, I expect to have enough money to just go and pay for myself.
 
i wanted to apply.....but i didn't want to spend the $100 for the student account....maybe next year

I got an email too! but not as good as yours, but congrads to you.

"At present, your application for a Student Scholarship is on the waiting list, and a final determination of its status will be made by May 17, 2007"

Just received an e-mail from ADC update, they gave me the FREE TICKET! Finally I can watch KEYNOTE LIVE! instead of @ macrumors or Engadget!!!! Brilliant!!

This will be my first time be in the States, what's worth visiting around San Fransisco apart from WWDC ?

Anyone else got their UK student scholarship? 😀 😀 😀

I'm also going to build a shopping list for gadgets that is not available (or 10 times more expensive) in UK, any suggestions?

If someone was told "No" let us know...I am kinda thinking everyone was put on the "waiting list." I am just interested if this is the case or not, we wont make fun of you or anything 😛.

Entry to WWDC, access to Leopard betas, etc.

On a sidenote, is anyone interested in a MacRumors meetup at WWDC? I talked to szark about something like that and it sounds rather interesting 😉

You are such a tease 😉
That activation code is tied with a specific ADC account. Even if you showed it to the world, nobody except you can use it 😛
 
I'm probably going to apply next year or the year after. Right now I don't do any real development and don't have a Student Developer account.
 
Don't forget to allow lots of time to get your passport and ID in order - otherwise you may be turned around at the border.
 
I got one as well, 3rd year in a row, w00t!

I'd be interested in a Macrumors student meetup at WWDC. Maybe after Student Sunday (anyone know what time that ends, this year, BTW? I have to be in the East Bay for my sister's HS graduation from 4-6PM)? Or at the campus bash on that Thursday.

Sweet, scholarship activation gets you a d/l for 9A410.
 
No reason the students can't have their own get together in addition to the main gathering. 🙂
