ok to wipe mbp with terrycloth

I've noticed that my mbp has fingerprints and such on the palm rests and outside of the case. Is it okay to use a damp standard washcloth to clean these up or will it damage the metal? I know not to use it on the screen, but I assume the case would handle it ok.

It shouldn't cause any problems I personally prefer using a MR Clean Magic Eraser - as others can attest it is one of the simpler solutions
