i have a sony hdr-sr1 and im trying to edit the footage in fcp? does anyone have tips?

You need to transcode the footage into another codec because AVCHD isn't supported yet.

Well, most likely FCP 6 will be introduced next Sunday at NAB. Then you might know for sure.

how do i transcode? mac don't even read avchd files.

any word on avchd support in fcs2? this would suck if no support. ive been waiting too long.

Granted it's still early, but AFAIK there is no announced support for AVCHD.
