In safari i am getting massively wide username and password boxes.

Really nice. Yet I would move the login box under your main navigation, in the place where the ad is. And also I wouldn;t try putting 2 news stories right next to each other. It looks nice on my 24 inch screen, but may be hard to read on a smaller screen.

1. I am going to assume you want the name to be delta x squard not squared.

2. I dont like the side by side articles. It would maybe look better if you boxed in each article.

3. I think the idea of putting the recent posts under the website navigation area and move the ads to the outside is a good idea.

You need something to break up all the text and white when they are covering different things. I like the color combination of the blue red and white, but there is just something missing that could really tie it all together.

I liked the information on the belkin product. I actually hadn't seen that before. It looks good, you just need a few refining touches.
