A forum I moderate gets tonnes of spam - at least 3 or 4 messages a day (this is a lot to me), and it's becoming a pain just having to ban the users and delete their messages, especially since sometimes their post pornographic images, and a lot of our users are young 14 - 15 yr olds.

Does anyone have any tried and tested mods or ways of stopping the Spam?

This is the website: http://www.amplifico.net/phpBB2/index.php

As you can see it's a phpBB2 forum.

Thanks guys.

Try this:

Also make sure you have email confirmation switched on.

This would also be a good mod to look at:

myVIPcode (http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=435702) is the only phpBB mod that truly stopped spam registrations and posts for me. Before I installed it, I had tried several several popular mods but was still having to delete 10-15 spam accounts per day. Since I installed it several months ago, I haven't had a single bot registration or spam post. Amazing.
