View Full Version : Airport Extreme Base Link Aggregation

Hi all does an airport extreme support link aggregation 802.3ad for network port teaming that is two ether port in my macpro teamed to an airport extreme base station i know
that the macpro does but i can not seem to find any info on the airport extreme on how to set it up the macpro in the network status shows the message below dose anybody
know anything about this i could use the help ps i am just checking out the adapter teaming or link aggregation lacp setup oh the airport extreme is the brand new one 802.11n

The port on the switch that the device is connected to doesn't seem to have 802.3ad Link Aggregation enabled

Very doubtful. apple is not known for their enterprise level networking. if u need that, u might as well go for managed switches (dell, cisco, etc)

Setting up a link aggregate on the mac pro is pretty easy. System Preferences > Network > Gear > + > Link Aggregate > Choose the 2 ethernet adapters

You could opt for a switch in front of the airport that supports 802.3ad - this one isn't terribly expensive.
