Photoshop cs3 compatible filters/plugins

I was quite dissapointed to find out that a big collection of filters about photoshop, do not work with photoshop cs3.
I would like to know which are the best filters for photoshop cs3, that are really compatible with cs3 version and of course mac version.
Are there any of these filters or not at all?

Just make sure the filter is a Universal Binary and it will work with CS3

When I was in windows world, most filters/plugins worked in newer photoshop versions.
Now I use mac, and I tried some plugins in cs3 and does not work at all.
How can I be sure what will be compatible or not? I mean right now because in the future the web sites will tell if they updated their plugins to be cs3-compatible.
