Wireless N updater with wireless G router

Will buying the N download increase my speed at all with a wireless G router? Just wondering and sry if it's been asked already
 
No, you will only get G speeds (54 Mbps).

...But even buying a 802.11n router would not increase your internet download speeds (which are usually < 5 Mbps). The only way to get faster internet is through your ISP.
