I think I now own the biggest Apple TV in wales...:)

Took a while but now it's all screwed back together and synced everything it's great!

Looking forward now to a software update that will add RSS feeds and hopefully a really cool RSS screensaver like OSX!

I did a quick search and found nothing but do you mind posting a link to a step by step on how to take the AppleTV apart and add another HDD cause 40GB is not doing me a whole lot

EDIT:

lots of links found.. Go Google lol

The one thing I dont understand is what HDD it takes. SATA? Or EIDE?

Congrats on upgrading your drive !!!

Quick question for you as to why you went this route. Initially I was planning to do the same but have found that everything streams so well from my Mac, I no longer want to take the time to load content to the Apple TV Hard Drive. Do you plan to travel with the drive or you don't want to have to leave your mac on?

PATA, aka IDE/EIDE/ATA/etc. SATA will not work unless you employ some form of pointless adapter.

Why would you want that? Streaming on a G/N network works beautifully:)

I have about 4000 songs, 6 movies (short ones 5 mins each or so) 150 podcasts. Syncing over a "g" network took more than 10 hours :(

I also have a 160GB drive ready and will install it as soon as I can get an adapter to connect it to my MAC.

I have about 15,000 photos I could then also load :)

Having an extra copy of your library around is never a bad idea...
