Is this possible in Mac OS X? I can connect to it by IP just fine.
Example: Let's say my Windows Vista machine has 525.432.774.900 as its IP address, and its name is Vista-PC. Going to Go->Connect to Server in Finder and typing smb://525.432.774.900/ works, but I can't get smb://Vista-PC/ to work.
I know the IP address I used isn't a valid IP address 😛
