To buy or not to buy an iPod?

It's my birthday today and I was wondering if I should treat myself to a new video iPod, however I'm a bit reluctant considering how often Apple updates their products.

So, does anyone if there's a new video iPod around the corner?

And if you were in my shoes, would you just buy one now?
