macOS API for interfacing with Dictionary

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone can point me to some documentation on how I can use the Dictionary service within my program. I've found NSSpellChecker, but I've not been so lucky finding similar documentation for the dictionary. NSDictionary seems to just be an associative map, and not the actual dictionary service.

Forewarning: I'm an Obj-C and Cocoa newb, so bear with me.
