Setting up a gmail drive that works like iDisk?

Is there a way to set a up a gmail drive that works like iDisk? (mounts on internet connection etc.) I am aware of gDisk, but I was hoping for a non-app solution.

Ive seen a thing for windows that makes it appear as a hard drive, so its possible that there is one for os x.

does gmail have any simular properties to box.net? which mounts using webdav in a idisk-kinda-way...

If you're comfortable with a bit of command line work - MacFUSE + GMailFS works.

I heard of this several weeks ago, and looked into it, but it seemed to be over my head. Is there a good tutorial on how to get this working?
