help give me some feedback on a design please

I am trying to do a website for a client as a university project and have come up with this initial design can you guys let me know how I can make this look better and more professional???

nice starting point. to me, the text and images look like at they're different resolutions. the black, grey, and white don't really say "music composer" to me, and the accordian seems to block some of the text. i like the "john dutton: composer" font- maybe you could encorporate it more. can't wait to see what you'll do.

thanks im thinking of adding red stripiing to areas so they are more defined plus i am going to add flash'es of colour to the guitar and piano also the button's need some work we shall see !
