LOL @Markelshark, seriously though I thought NAB was in 15 minutes from now (rather than 1h 15 minutes).
The "begins shortly" and the GMT time of 6pm through me off.

im actually hoping that only the 17" mbp model gets updated. I plan to sell my MBP w/2gb for $1800 to a buddy on May 1st (so he's essentially getting student discount with 1gb free ram), but i got to use it for the last few months :)
Hopefully we get to see the LED screens in the 17", and then hopefully the 15" model will update in June (so i can have a MBP again soon).

GMT is still 6pm though - you're talking about BST...
But that still doesn't explain why it says 6pm GMT (which equals 7pm BST), and it saying 2hrs 15min until the event starts. Because that would mean 8pm....

looprumors said that jobs was presenting, but that was the first i heard of that. i've searched a bunch of other sites, and nobody makes mention of that. and afaik, it's not on the invite either.
from looprumors:
Steve Jobs will address the invited attendees during a speech in which LoopRumors expects him to address the recent Leopard delay announcement and introduce one or more new products.
Thursday's press release from Apple announcing the delay in releasing Mac OS X Leopard being just a few days before the NAB special event leads us to believe that Apple is preparing a product release or significant product update for this weekend in addition to a likely update in the Final Cut software line.

OK. So I just overheard Jonathan Ive talking. He said "We were going to bring out some great new hardware and software but I just read Counter's post on MacRumors and we will ditch the touchscreen-iMac and just tell the crowd that we're making an iFax. We can base the keynote on the sketches I made on this napkin [at this point he pulls out a napkin to show Jobs] and if we change design in the development process, we will just put it down to innovation and the fact that we didn't want competitors copying us"

New 'Large' Cinema display? 30" not big enough for you? (Now there is something I never thought id say, be it here or in 'real-life')
I think, as well as half finished Leopard they'll release a product complied of all the things that people on this forum don't like about other products and call it the iWhatever the **** you like and it'll be bigger selling than the iPod, and although no one will like the features and all they will do is twine about them and wonder when is going to upgrade, you'll still all own one. (And, even tho its the shitest thing in all creation, it'll still be the best thing on the market, no matter what else is released)

Here's another Killer Feature in Soundtrack Pro 2. 5.1 support in the Stereo Mix would imply Analog Surround 5.1 I'm thinking. Excellent since that is the dominant way most people hear surround to date.
