Remapping Keyboard to have the Windows "Delete Key"

I have a Macbook, and I want to be able to remap a key to have it act like the equivilent of a PC's delete key. Is there a way to do this?

Press Fn+Delete to get the forward-delete (a.k.a. "PC delete") functionality.

This has been talked about a lot. Please try searching next time.

Thanks, but I know that you can do that. What I was talking about is having a dedicated key, such as remaping the, say, enter key (by command) to that function.

Regaurdless, I will do a search. Thanks.

Ah, I see. Sorry. Normally there's a lot of people asking how to get that key to behave like reverse-delete (not knowing about the Fn+ trick).

Remapping system keys...I'm not sure what could do that. I use Quicksilver for all my shortcut key needs, but I'm not sure that would work in this case.

Read this post looking for an answer and didn't get one.

The answer is DoubleCommand

It is a free download that gives you another preference pane. One of the options is to swap fn+delete to Delete.

Does this solution also work for iPad bluetooth keyboard?

Does this solution also work for the Apple wireless, bluetooth keyboard that I will be using for my iPad2 with iOS?
