Some sources state that the superdrive is compatable with DVD-RW, has any had any sucess with this?

This would be great if true!!

By the way what is Toast? I guess in order to make DVD-RW work with the superdrive you would need Toast to make use of it.

The Superdrive will write to DVD-RW.

You can burn to it from the desktop as you can with DVD-R's.

In order to erase them, use the Disk Utility under OS X to "erase disc".

You can also use Toast ( http://www.roxio.com )
