My little "Thank-you Arn" thread [Archive]

I'd just like to take this time to thank Arn for his hard work in maintaining this site. Today, amid the flurry of updates, I've noticed many people on. I don't know what he did, but somehow he avoided a major /. effect (Hey Arn... do you know what the max load was today?)

Well, basically I just want to say thanks. You're doing an awesome job, and since I didn't see a "thank-you" thread on top here, I decided to make my own little one. When I get a credit card I'll subscribe, but right now all I can give you is my thanks. This site rocks, and keep up the good work.

i agree. the way the front page is set up separately from the forums and stuff is such a great move. makes big events much better as the updates can come, without killing the site...

I think arn is trully awesome. He does an outstanding job running this forum. This is like my father-in-law who's a physician, his love and passion was collecting Art. We are very lucky that arn has chosen us as his love and passion! ;)

Yea thanks arn, when i get to 500 posts i will donate, at the rate i am going it will be a while... I just got my posting average up to .5 posts a day from .3 in the last 2 weeks.......:)

Right, back to the topic, couldn't help it.

Arn, the mysterious man behind this all is truly remarkable, I've never met him and most probably never will but that doesn't ruin the fact that he is a major player in the Apple rumor world.

I've never known what "Arn" is, is it his nickname, his real name or just something that he made up.

I've thought about it for a while and come up with this:
Automatic Rumor Nomad.

But then I realised after looking at a Magasine called ARN.
Australian Reseller Network.

So Arn must be Aussie...

If you PM a message to arn, he could change your title to "Contributor." I had an objection myself and arn was gracious enough to change it for me!

arn is a great manager of this site and deserves our support.

I managed to screw my account up trying to change email address and Arn's fixed it. Yay. And my mug arrived today. Yay. But I had to pay £7.40 Customs on it. Boo :(

That's odd. I didn't have to pay any duties on my mug, which arrived earlier this week. The first one i ordered (back in feb. 02) was whilst I was in germany though, and that time i did have to pay customs.

I just love consistency :rolleyes:
