What kind of pen or pencil do you use most?

I'm a big Pilot fan. My favorite is the Precise Gel 07, but they're never available in our Staples.

I like clicky better than cappy, the caps always seem to get lost...

Rotring 600 Roller-Ball

Good and chunky with a decent amount of weight to is, plus a spring loaded tip

i have tried very expensive pens including some Lamys, Cross, Montblancs, and various others (for notebook sketching). the one i keep going back to every time is a Zebra Gel G-301, which goes for about $2.50 at staples.

try it. its the best.

I'm a huge fan of the Pilot Gel G-2, but bought some Bic Atlantis pens since they were on sale... not too shabby, but the G-2 is still a smoother writer, I feel. More comfortable for long note-taking sessions as well. Both suffer from low ink-life, however.

Oh, and the G-2 dries rather slowly, so it's really easy to smudge if you're not careful.

Sometimes my G-2s randomly die on me, then I use them a few days later and they work again.

By die I mean the ink skips every two millimeters and it doesn't flow as easily.

That's mine too. I have two of them along with matching mechanical pencils.

I have two full sets of the 600 series in both black and silver

2 - Rollerballs
2 - Ball Point
2 - Mechanical Pencils
2 - Trio (Dual ball point with pencil)
2 - Nib

I used to buy ONLY Pentel R.S.V.P.'s because they looked and wrote pretty. Although, I've found clicky-tops to be easier to use and are thinner, so I buy ONLY rubberised BIC clicky-tops.

All of my pens are from different reps at my work.

My favorites are the Verizon pens, nice, fat, big rubber grips, well made, and nice looking.

My fav is the papermate PhD - both the pen and the mechanical pencil. I got the pencil first - I've had it for 8 years now, somehow I haven't managed to lose it!

I've been using Pilot Precise V5 Extra Fine for years.
I take good care of them, so a pen usually lasts me a few months.

Bic. 99 cent on a pack of 15. Why spend more on a pens? They all do the same thing. Bics last long. I never understood people who bought the one pen for $5. Stupid.

Because Bic's are disposable similar to razors, compared to their non-disposale counterparts that offer superior quality, comfort, etc. As well - a nice non-disposable (re-fillable) pen is just an added touch of finish if you are dealing with clients. Handing some one a disposable pen to sign for a car purchase, medical document/waiver, or a high dollar contract is a little odd - it isn't like you are signing a credit card receipt at the local Gas N' Go.
