URGENT URGENT audio question

gonna be doing sound for a talent show - got a question

my audio out port on my MBP will be busy being hooked into the auditorium's sound mixer ... is there any way to set my audio in to a second audio out for headphones?

if not, is there any other way to hook headphones in while i'm still using my audio out?

Yeah, what I did was just buy a cheap audio splitter from radioshack. It does exactly what you want, and costs maybe 10$.

Do you need an independant out? If you are the soundguy, just solo the channel and listen with headphones there. Otherwise, get a splitter at the audio out. You can also buy a cheap USB sound device, with an input and output. Maye $50?

Also depending on your location from the sound board they can always give you a monitor out for your head phones, then the track levels can be set to help you monitor the sound
