I am wondering what kind of margin CompUSA is getting on PowerMacs. My company is supposed to get "8% over cost" on hardware via their corporate 800 number. So I called and they quoted me $2256.85 on the stock PMac 933Mhz. The thing sells for $2299 regularly - so either our company discount is not being applied correctly or they make next to nothing on those machines.

Any insights from current/former CompUSA empolyees out there?

usually retail makes between 50% and 200%, but this is electronics so it could be different.

if you go and try to build a PC buying wholesale parts, theyre usually half to 70% or so of their retail cost from what I've seen
