MB Screen

I notice the Macbook's have glossy screens. Does this affect their display outside? I currently have a 17" dell and I don't mind it but 2 things I CANNOT stand about it are the battery life (1.25 hours off of outlet power) and the fact that you cannot see a DAMN thing on the screen as soon as it hits the "outside world". Is the macbook workable and able to use outside? Is there major glare? Also what is the battery life most of you are getting on your macbooks?

I often use my MB (glossy screen) in the conservatory, no problems.

I have found that the glossy screen outside in the sun is fine!

yes its a lil bit like a mirror! but i dont mind looking at myself :p
