Yep. Once or twice when I clicked on the Store tab, it said that store.apple.com was not found. But the site is definitely working for me.
Actually, it just now gave me a "site not found" when I clicked on my bookmark, but I clicked it again and the site worked fine. Weird...

I can't get to it. Try refreshing or emptying your cache and see if it still works.

that is really strange.. cause when i type www.apple.com or www.apple.ca it comes back with an error but when i type the ip address, it works.
i wonder if there is an issue with the DNS....
i dunno:confused:
EDIT: The store isn't working either.. it yells at me about DNS... strange...

I have no problem getting to the Apple site. Also, note that both the 15" PowerBook and the PowerMacs are still showing shipping "same day." That could be considered a little odd if they are really going to be replaced in only two more business days. Why wouldn't it be updated to show 2 to 3 days to allow upgrades to the new systems? Unless Apple isn't going to allow changes on pending orders. That's certainly possible, but it would be kind of a bummer for those who place orders between now and Monday.

Hmmmm...just had some trouble finding the MacRumors forums.
Hopefully just some minor DNS issues, and not another widespread virus...

DUDe chill!!! I tried his links! But still wonder what is causing the DNS issue and was wondering if it is affecting more than just Apple?.. Dude, I post an innocent message and you freak! Who needs the meds?
I figured Apple might be doing some major upgrades or testing upgrades for WWDC so I posted the message..
The 970 and Panther could be a whole new look and feel for Apple. and this could be reflected in their web site.

Apple's home page works, but the store is down. Probably taking a hit because of all the people trying to access it. Looking for new G5s.

Considering there's a redirect to store.apple.com, yes, it's still a DNS issue.

Software Update isn't working either. It says "Can't Connect To The Internet", but I am connected. I think it can't find files on Apple's site.

I don't know if it means anything, but in the past I would do searches (in fact, just a day or so ago) for the G5, and it would display info. on the G3 and G4 chips instead. I just did a new search using "G5" as the keyword, and it said there were no results found--unlike previous G5 searches.
Anyway, I know this probably doesn't mean anything, but maybe Apple just updated the search engine. I just thought it was interesting.

And the rather confusing www.mammals.org still worked during the "crisis". At least it did for me.

Maybe someone should ask somebody at Apple about this mammals.org thing. It's creeping me out.
