So about 8:30 PM I look up and see a bright planet I assume, What was it? It looked like it was moving.

how fast was it moving? usually when it's very low, near the horizon, it can appear to move fast. I saw it last night about 11:30, the moon and jupiter were beautiful.

it reminds me of some saying my niece used to say...

boys go to jupiter to get more stupider
girls go to mars to drive hot cars

stupid kids.

If it looked like a bright star and it was moving rather fast, it was most likly a satellite, possibly the ISS. If you think it might have been one, you should check the NASA page and see if ISS was scheduled to fly over your area.

That might of been planetoid m43564355 1/2.......it hides behind the moon and doesn't like to show itself. 😉

Bless

Maybe this guy was making a return to Earth? 😀

Venus was bright just below the moon last night.

From a Classic version of Starry Night.

Check out those NASA sights. You can see and identify all sorts of interesting stuff in the sky.

ISS passed over the UK at about 11pm (local ) last night so looking at your location I'm guessing with the others that's what it was.
