i cant go 'back' using the keyboard shortcut of "command-[" - anyone know how i can reinstate / fix it?

i was trying the quicksilver trigger option and didnt realise that id overwritten the back shortcut.

ive deleted the quicksilver stuff - no fix
ive gone in to keyboard prefs - no fix
ve spent some time search here and web and i havent found a solution yet..

anyone? thanks.

What keyboard layout is this? Cmd-[ is not a standard hotkey for Safari on the US Keyboard. Cmd-Shift-] / [ move between tabs, but as far as I know, Cmd-[ does nothing by default.

i have uk macbook

its the apple key next to space bar and the [ button. the standard history/back shortcut on safari

please please help. its hell without my back page key! 😕

I'm sorry... I don't know why I'm being brain-dead. It *is* listed on mine also. In the history menu, do you see it listed as the shortcut for "back"?

no the 'back' shortcut its blanked out. but the forward shortcut is there. its just the back shortcut that needs to be reinstated somehow - its got to be simple right?

fixed. used menu master program - simple!!!

but i would like to know where menu master goes to do the 'dirty work'?
