OK so my mother is like outdoors almost but she still has her imac. She wants to know how much it is worth, (last resort is to sell it).
It is an imac core due rev a 17" 1.83ghz
stock 512mb ram
I believe it is not ig (therefore it would be the x1600?)
I bought it for her last feb. so it is unfortunately out of apple warranty as she didn't opt for applecare. It has had no issues or repairs. How much is it worth in reality? I figured about 1k.
I'm in Calgary Canada if that helps:)
Now how much do I deduct if it is missing something? I haven't had a chance to look at it and it may be missing the manuals/dvds or the kb/mouse....
(Maybe I should see what she all has.....)

The 2 ghz refurb with double the ram is 1049. So, I would guess no more than 700 - 800 USD. Maybe less if you don't have the full package. Also, I personally don't like Rev A's.

I was thinking about selling mine, too, but by the looks of these prices, I guess I might have to hold on to my iMac.

Yeah, I'd agree with the others, probably around $740ish USD.

put it on ebay and you'll get more for it. You'll have to pay fees, but your net profit should still probably be better.
When you say your mother is "outdoors almost," do you mean she's on the verge of becoming homeless? :(

I spent $850 plus $50 shipping through a buy-it-now auction on Ebay for the same setup, except it came with 1gig of RAM, iWork suite, and a bluetooth mighty mouse. Unfortunately it has a stuck pixel, but the seller made note of that. But with putting all that into consideration I would say somewhere between $750-800 would be the max with the stock 512 RAM. I still feel a little ripped off at times considering I saw a 2.0ghz Core 2 Duo iMac with a gig of RAM for about $150 more on the refurb store the next day.
edit: Sorry, I missed that you said you were including iWork and that you live in Canada. I'd probably agree with 850cad like the others said. You also might be better off trying to sell Office separately, you might get a little more that way.

Think of what you got with that setup lol, you would spend $150 for no BT mouse, iWork but for that 0.17GHz and 10F lower temps?
