Hey,

I'm working on some songs in Garageband and I'm trying to share the exported files with a friend who plays guitar - he uses Sonar on a Windows box. I can only export my tracks as m4a files and while I told him to try renaming them as mp4 they still won't play for him.

Does anyone know a way I could export them as mp3 or how to convert from m4a to mp3?

Thanks

Cossie

One long winded way immediately springs to mind. Burn them as an MP3 CD in iTunes. Has to be a better way than that though.

Change your default encoding in the preferences in iTunes. When you're done with that, right click the sony you want to convert and select "Convert to mp3".
