Hello,

Just wondering what my iBook is worth. It is the last generation 12" iBook they made. I added another 512MB ram so it totals 1.0 GB now. Specs are:

1.33 GHz G4
12" screen
1.0 GB Ram
40 GB Hard drive

Great condition, no dead pixels.

AppleCare until summer 2008

Thanks!

I'd say around 550-600 USD.

Yeah. CRAZYBUBBA's price is a little more accurate for MR, but I think you could get 550-600 on eBay.

A week ago I sold a 12" with 1.07ghz, 512mb ram, and 60gb hd on craigslist for 500.

You can get atleast 600 on craigslist. That is the BEST route. Do not expect any good offers (as in you will be happy with your gain) on here.

On eBay, you should be able to net between $500-$600 for your iBook G4. :)

On Ebay.com i have seen the same model as your own without Applecare going for $600 or more. I would not be surprised if you made $700 for your laptop. I would say that you would get at least $600 and maybe even up to $700.
People will pay extra for the Applecare.

I just bought a 1GHz G4 with 512MB RAM, Combo Drive, and an AE for $529 off the PowerBook Guy website. So I would say around $550 on MR and $650-$700 on eBay.

1.33 GHz G4
12" screen
1.0 GB Ram
40 GB Hard drive

I bought that same exact laptop off ebay for $700 about 7 months ago. So I'd day $575-$650 (lower being on here, higher on ebay)

How about... trade + $675 cash for a white MacBook Core 2 Duo? :) Here

When I was in the market for one of those they ranged from $500-$700. Just my two cents and a half for what it's worth.

Sale or no sale? :)

No sale as of yet, just trying to gather pricing information. I will update if I decide to sell it.

Agreed on both counts. The iBook people here at MR said was worth $350 fetched $500 in CASH on Craigslist. The buyer even picked it up, so I lost nothing to delivery and escrow charges. And he bought it one day after I listed it on Craigslist.

If you haven't already, the best tool that eBay offers is the ability to search completed auctions from the last 30-60 days (I can't recall the limit at the moment). (This link to the relevant search might work. (http://search-completed.ebay.com/_W0QQa10244Z10426QQa26092Z26541QQa26443Z42211QQa26444Z42639QQa26446Z1173QQalistZa26092Q2ca26444Q2ca2 6446Q2ca26443Q2ca10244QQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcompareQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfisZ2QQfromZR2 QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ3QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQgcsZ1507QQpf_queryZQQpfidZ1813QQpfmodeZ1QQreqtypeZ2QQsacatZQ2d100Q QsaprchiZQQsaprcloZQQsatitleZQQsoZShowQ20ItemsQQsofocusZso))

I've seen AppleCare add between $100-400 to my auctions over the years (PM G4, iBook G3, two PowerBook G4s), so the $600-800 ballpark isn't unreasonable, considering a machine with the exact same configuration sold for $700 on a Buy It Now yesterday.

If you do list on eBay, the best advice I can give you is take as many high-res photos as you can (all six sides of the machine, plus screen) and maybe throw in the System Profiler report (with the Apps, serials, MAC addresses and IPs removed).
