Hi,

I know that the integration of X11 with the rest of the OS X environment is less than perfect, but is there a way to paste text into an xterm (from other xterm instances and other applications)?

Your clipboard in OS X is shared with the X11 copied text.

From Aqua to X11 -> Apple-C to copy as usual and then 'middle click' by pressing Alt-Click

From X11 to Aqua -> Apple-C to copy and Apple-V to paste into Aqua.

Since I think he/she is asking about an X11 to X11 paste, if I'm not mistaken, you can highlight it in one app and then press the middle mouse button in the other app with no further action, right?

Hi,

Thanks for your help -- what I had in mind was aqua-->X11 (mainly) and X11-->X11. The aqua-->X11 bit works fine, but I cannot get the X11-->X11 paste to work properly, for some reason.
