Apple TV's Visibility

OK I got a ATV yesterday, it works fantastically, I set it for Streaming No Syncing because my time was limited. It streams wirelessly without a hiccup on my G Network. But I'm having a visibility issue on my Mac Mini and Itunes with the ATV showing under Devices. I assume even thou it's not set to sync it should show there so you can manually sync to it much like an Ipod? It doesn't do this. And it seems it lost connection to my library and I had to go to connect to another Itunes Library, get a code and enter it to connect again. In fact that's the only time it appears is in this code mode, once I'm streaming it's out of my Devices. It should'nt be doing this should it ?

The AppleTV will not show until you tell AppleTV you are setting up a new computer to stream from. Once you do that on AppleTV you will/should see it under devices.

it does show then but after it says I'm ready to stream it's gone from under devices, although it's still connected to my library

The :apple: TV will sync to ONE computer.If you have NO computer set to sync it with what you're experiencing might happen.
