Macbook Pro not booting

Weird thing just happened. I was working on my macbook pro and it kernel panicked. I shut it off but now it will not turn on. No boot sound but the sleep light is pulsing. Any ideas on what i should do?

Pull the battery, this will drop it out of sleep mode. Reinstall battery, connect power supply. Restart. Sounds like it's stuck in sleep mode.

Just tried this but screen is still blank no booting sound.

Any other ideas?

Can you boot from the OSX discs whilst holding C? Is anything plugged into the machine?

Nothing shows up on the screen. Nothing except the power plug is attached.

The only thing I've done recently is the battery update. Wonder if that did something.:confused:
