Mysteriously Deleted Files...

Hi all,

The "Movies" folder on my Mac has disappeared. Google Desktop reports that the files there were deleted. I do not recall ever dragging the folder to the trash. Is it possible the files are still on my hard drive, and this is some kind of strange bug? Or could someone have been screwing with my machine? Is there a log file that can show me when those files were deleted?

Machine: Intel Core Duo iMac, 20"
OS 10.4

i have a similar problem with you. only more serious. all my programs in the Applications folder are gone.
and now i dont know what to do :/
 
I don't know about a log file, but have you looked in the Trash to see if they're still there? Also, you could try an app like Data Rescue to find deleted files.
