Shouldn't apple know that my ipod has applecare??

For the last few weeks, I've been getting emails from apple that its my last chance to get applecare for my ipod. Which I already have. It even shows up on apple's site when I look up my serial number. Should I worry about contacting them, or just figure its part of the system?

I'd contact them just to verify that it's registered and such. I'd rather spend a bit of time on the phone now to hear them say, "Everything's fine, sorry about the e-mails" then have to call them in a year and struggle to get your Applecare instated.
