For example:
- Is she your girlfriend?
No
- Is she a buddy?
Yes
- Is she a close friend who happens to be female?
Yes
- Is this a special birthday for any reason?
No
- What kind of handmade things does she like?
*shrug*
Wouldn't really want to do that especially because she has a boyfriend... and stuff.picture frame. go to a crafts store and buy a plastic frame. decorate it. put a picture of you and her inside. fantastic.
A Barry Manilow LP a candle and some privacy.
But seriously, what are your strengths?
Are you a good writer? Write her a story or poem.
Are you a musician? Play her a song or write her some music.
Etc.
Yeah, I see that now. You beat me by seconds on my original post, thus my more stupid than normal response.😛I find those thing slightly intimate... Don't really want to touch that.
Are you good at making things? If not, don't bother. Picture frame ideas are always cheezy.
The coolist self-made things usually art related. If you're not talented, I'd go and buy something.
My friend's birthday is Monday and I'm wondering what I should get her. I have no significant amount of money to buy something so I was wondering if there is anything I could make that would be nice.
given the new information (that she has a boyfriend) i change my answer. forget the gift and go with a card. it doesn't make sense (to me) to invest time and energy getting her something if she's not your significant other. a card is usually enough to convey that you care without going overboard. i think you'll make yourself sick trying to come up with something when a card (and a nicely written note, of course) will translate the same message.
I agree. Just the fact you're remembering is very sweet. I'd be happy with a card from a male friend of mine. 🙂

Cards are lame.
We're Mac, not PC. We are creative. PCs buy cards because they can't come up with something on their own or are to lazy to try.

I forgot I had Pages for a second.
So... make her a nice homemade dinner. Buy a cupcake and put a candle in it. Chicks dig that.
