I'm about to make the jump to an iMac (after 22 years on the other platform). One concern is how well the 20" iMac with standard video option will support a second monitor. After a Google search, I read somewhere that getting the proper adapter has been a problem. Is anyone running a second monitor in this configuration? Any adapter problems or recommendations? Thanks.

I'm running a 20" iMac with a Dell 20" LCD as a second display. Absolutely no issues whatsoever

Ive got the 20" with an old viewmaster linked up. i got the adapter from my local apple resaler for $35 its called a mini-DVI to VGA adapter. So far, its working fine no probs.

oh but one thing my imac has the slightly higher graphics card but its just higher speed so the other card should work fine.
