TechRestore is such a great website. Extremely friendly people- I love their weekly emails.

is it just me, or does this seem like that's a violation of some hardware/software/TOS/EULA agreement?

Cool, if they certify their craftsmanship (with their own warranty) then this sounds like a great service. Too bad the next round of revisions by Apple will force TechRestore to change as well.

Well, Apple has at least one recent and prominent example (http://www.axiotron.com/index.php?id=modbook) of letting this sort of thing happen. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, it's definitely helpful for them to manage a small number of high-demand clients (with the vast majority of the buyers not having much interest in this at this point).
