The name of game in tray is now displayed in the dashboard

I can barely contain myself...

I do think that the Windows Live messenger integration looks good though. I can see if anyone I didn't know about has a gamer tag now which is bound to be a good thing. I think that the new turn-off after downloading feature will be handy too. Anything to reduce that carbon footprint :D

Messenger works great but any idea how to disable it from signing in automatically? I don't want to sign in to messenger each time I turn on my 360, this signs off my messenger on the computer. For some reason in videos, I see my Music files as well, this sucks. And streaming WMV files using Connect360 doesn't seem to work after I've installed the update. Videos are messed up and I'm dissapointed. I'll try a restart later. Haven't tried my H.264 files yet.

I downloaded the update this morning before work. I really like the marketplace blade, I feel like it navigates through all the menus much quicker than before. Also, my achievements lists compiles 10x faster. It would seriously take about 5 seconds a game before, now I get the whole list in about 10 seconds.

I like that it tells what game is in the drive, seeing that I live with a few people, games are constantly be switched out and i either had to open the try and see what was in or start the game.

I haven't tried streaming a video from my computer yet, I'm curious to see if any of the DVD's I ripped will work.

Now all I am waiting for is the Forza 2 demo.

I think we'll have to wait for Connect360 to be updated before the H.264 videos can be streamed from a Mac.

....and Double Dragon is available in the arcade now :)

Yeah, I can confirm now that it does not see any videos anymore with Connect360. I hope Nullriver'll update Connect360 soon. Is there anyway to rollback the firmware? Streaming videos is extremely important for me.

Somehow H.264 works. I've tried loading some of my H.264 video files and it plays flawlessly.

It isn't just Connect360 that is affected. TVersity and ORB are also affected. And AFAIK there is no way to dowgrade the firmware on the 360.

Did you just put the H.264 videos in your movies folder? It seems for me that it just lists all songs I have in my iTunes Music folder.

I'm also wondering if the update will support .avi. Does anyone know if I'll have to convert those files to .mp4 or h.264 with quicktime or ffmpeg?

Same thing is happening to me. It is displaying the first 2000 songs in my iTunes music library instead of any videos. Music and photos are having no problems streaming though. Hopefully an update is in the works from Nullriver.

Just tried a few h.264 videos (DL.TV, MacBreak, Handbrake encoded files) using a USB 2.0 key. Works fine, but the quality isn't very good—at least compared to my Apple TV. It doesn't appear to scale very well.

Im having the same problem - first 2000 iTunes music tracks listed as videos on the 360.

The Connect360 site says that they are working on a fix. Hopefully it wont be long.

No. i tried it using a my external USB drive.

No. It doesn't say anything about .avi and it's definitely not working. Yeah unfortunately you'll have to convert it to either WMV or H.264.
