Link: Jobs’ “One More Thing” ranks #17 on USA Today’s most memorable Quotes (http://www.macbytes.com/link.php?sid=20070508103510)
Description:: Well, it seems that famous line is no longer merely something significant only to the Mac faithful. USA Today had it’s editors and reporters compile a list of the 25 Most Memorable Quotes, and Steve’s “One more thing” is ranked proudly at #17.

In truth, the list is actually quite absurd. We think the world of Steve and all, but how could his “One more thing” be more popular than “Where’s the beef?” (#23). The list is 85% news-related, but they have mixed in a couple movie, TV, and music quotes, such as “You can’t handle the truth!” from A Few Good Men, and “You gotta fight for your right to party” by the Beastie Boys. Once you bring the pop culture into the running, pretty much every line from every movie is more memorable than any quote on the list.

Wow... I didn't take the time to read the article, but it seems ridiculous to think "One more thing" is even in the top 100...

Don't flatter yourself Jobs, it's not that fantastic.

"Insanely great" is better than "one more thing..."

"As we know, There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know."

Well, now he can see how much we all love the excitement and mystery around 'one more thing', perhaps he'll do us the nicety of using it in June ;)

You don't know what "insanely great" is? It's how Jobs famously describes the macintosh.

it isn't as memorable as "one more thing," at least for me anyway. what makes "one more thing" so memorable is that it's so anticipated. every macworld and every wwdc, we live by these words, hoping for the next great thing whether it be a new wowsers tablet or a powerbook g5.

Anyone have a historical list of the things that were introduced as "one more thing"?
